In the evening and on the weekend

If you suddenly fall ill, have a toothache or need medication urgently, you can also get assistance in evenings and on weekends.

Emergency Outpatient Clinic at the Hospital
In case of a medical emergency, you can have someone drive or bring you directly to the nearest hospital.
 
The hospital has to admit you:
  • If you have a life-threatening medical condition
  • If you are at risk of a serious health damage
  • If you are pregnant and child birth is imminent

Call rescue services immediately: ✆ 144 in case of life-threatening injuries, accidents, strokes or heart attacks.

Pharmacy Emergency Service

You can get medication also on public holidays, Sundays and at night at a pharmacy (emergency service). Pharmacies take turns with emergency service.
 
Usually, you must ring a night bell.
Emergency pharmacies are always open
until 8h00 the next day.
 
Costs
An additional night service fee is charged:
EUR 1.30 on Sundays and public holidays from 8h00 to 20h00, EUR 3.80 as from 20h00 (applicable 2023).
